4 Ways to Use a Winter Math Center Activity in Kindergarten
Hey, hey! Can we cue the winter music, snowflakes and dancing snowmen now or is it still too early? ❄️ I know, you’re probably thinking: “GIRL, you are way too excited! December is crazy in my class.” While I totally agree with you, I must also say, it’s such a fun time for our kiddos!
Want a quick and easy math center for the winter time? I got you! This was one of my favorite activities to do in my Kindergarten class because it kept the little ones entertained, challenged and practicing their rote and skip counting.
Be sure to set the mood first and get some excitement started in your class.

Play your favorite winter songs on a streaming device or CD in your class computer.

Diffuse some wintry essential oils for a complete sensory experience.

Hang some paper snowflakes from the ceiling.

Laminate the pieces of your center activity and place them in an instant snow sensory bin with fine motor tools.

Model the activity and have a fun-filled time!
