You know what I love most about what I do? Helping teachers use engaging resources so they can feel confident and lose the overwhelm.

And while I love creating curriculum, the process often goes much smoother when teachers are better prepared.

It’s true, distance learning is a HUGE challenge alone and in today’s era, teachers are using tons of resources to keep their kiddos learning and engaged.

Here are 3 ways to teach LETTERS through distance learning:

1: Songs 🎶

Use music to create momentum and make learning letter names and sounds fun!

You can find fun songs on Google, YouTube, Apple Music, Amazon Music or using your school’s curriculum songs. You can even make it fun my adding movements to each letter and using alliteration or your students’ names in the lyrics.

2: Books 📖

Do read-alouds with books like “Chicka Chicka Boom Boom” or put on a Vooks story that teaches letters in an exciting + animated way. There are so many books available to us but keeping in mind your students’ developmental stage is crucial when selecting the right books for your littles.

3: Digital Resources 🖥

Find fun activities you can do in whole group with your kiddos or assign to them via Google Classroom, SeeSaw, Boom or any platform you are currently using. These can include activities for identifying, recognizing, forming or writing letter names and sounds.
